Outdoors and Beyond is proud to stand behind the products we sell. 

If for some reason you aren't happy with your purchase from us, or some issues arise, here are our returns policies and how to kick-start the returns process if necessary.

1. Faulty or Damaged Items

Every product you purchase from us is from the original manufacturer or an approved distributor and comes with a full manufacturer's warranty.
If the item you ordered is faulty or has arrived damaged, please complete a warranty claim form above and we will assess the issue.

You’ll be asked to upload some photos of the damaged/faulty product. The clearer the photos, the quicker and easier it will be for us to resolve the issue.


2. Change of Mind Purchases / Purchased the Wrong Size

We want to make sure you have the right gear for your adventure, and sometimes that means a change of mind.
If you wish to return any of the items in your order we'll happily offer a refund or credit within 30 days of your purchase, but before you send your item back to us or drop into our store - double check the following:

The item needs to be in as-new condition, this means:

  • In original packaging
    We're unable to offer a full refund on items that are no longer in their original packaging, or have packaging that is in poor condition. The best way to ensure this is by sending the item back, or dropping it off in-store, in the same packaging & condition as when you first opened it.
  • Unused
    This one is simple, please don't send back items that have been used. The only exception to this is footwear that has been worn indoors for a couple of hours.
  • All tags and labels attached
    Avoid taking the tags off until you're sure you'd like to keep the item.

Also please note, there are a few items that we are unable to accept returns for change of mind purchases (you are still covered under warranty if it is a faulty or damaged product). These items are:

  • Food or any other human consumable product
  • Socks and thermals
  • Clearance items

If you’re returning your item(s) as a result of changing your mind, you’ll be responsible to cover the cost of return delivery.
We do accept returns in store. So if you are in the area, you can save on delivery costs by dropping the item(s) off to us.

Once you have submitted a return claim you will have 5 business days to return your item(s) either by post or in store.
If we don't see you or you don't post the items within this timeframe you may have to create a new return claim.

If the item(s) are not received into back to us in the original condition (unopened, unused, all tags and labels attached) we may not be able to offer a full return, however we will contact you for alternatives.


3. Long-Term Warranty Issues

Every product you purchase from us is from the original manufacturer or an approved distributor and comes with a full manufacturer's warranty.
If you purchase a product from us and you believe some manufacturing issues have arisen, or that the product hasn't performed as it should have, you may submit a Warranty Claim Form (see here), or give us a call (02 4421 4388) and we will help you resolve the issue.

Before you fill out the form or contact us, we do ask that you check the following:

  • You have your proof of purchase. (receipt, bank statement)
  • You purchased the product from us and that the product is within the manufacturer's warranty period. You can usually find the warranty period on the product page or in the paperwork that came with the item. (see a general list of brands and their warranty periods here)
  • Check that it is a manufacturing issue and not a result of general wear and tear.

4. Australian Consumer Law Guarantees

Many of our products come with a guarantee or warranty from the manufacturer. In addition, they come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

As well as the above consumer rights, all products also have a manufacturers warranty - some of which extend beyond the 1 year required by the ACCC. 5. Returns Procedure & Returns Form

Returning an item

  1. Contact us first to discuss the issue and how to proceed in returning/fixing the issue. You can contact us by phone, email, or by submitting a Returns Form
  2. If returning the item, please include your invoice and return form with the item/s.
  3. Specify whether you want a replacement, repair or exchange.
  4. Drop your item off to us in store, or post your package to:

Returns and Exchange Policy
Outdoors and Beyond is proud to stand behind the products we sell.

Should you find a problem with your purchase, pending assessment, we will offer you a replacement, repair, or an exchange on the faulty product where:

  • the product has either faulty workmanship or materials
  • the product is, or becomes, faulty through no fault of yours
  • the product has defects that were not obvious or not brought to your attention

Should you find a problem with your purchase, pending assessment, we will offer you a full refund, replacement, repair, or an exchange on the faulty product where:

  • the product is not fit for the stated purpose or a purpose you made known to our sales staff
  • the product does not match the description or sample

Before returning any goods, please contact us first. Goods must be returned within a reasonable time, with proof of purchase, and exhibit a problem that has not been caused by you.
