Kayaks, Canoes and Inflatable Boats for Family Fun, or High Adventure
Choose the Kayak, Canoe or Inflatable Boat to suit your needs at Outdoors & Beyond
Want to raft the white water rapids, adventure down a river in a canoe or kayak out to sea, then Outdoors & Beyond have the kayaks, canoes and inflatable boats for you!
Boating can add a whole new dimension to the great outdoors, is not expensive and can be as wild and adventurous, or as calm and gentle as the water that you choose. We specialise in single and double-person canoes and kayaks to family sized inflatable boats or rafts.
We recommend that you purchase your kayak, canoe or inflatable boat after getting expert advice regarding exactly which water craft will best suit your needs.
To do this you must decide where you want to go and the conditions that the water craft may be subjected to.
It is important to understand the limitations of your water craft and follow its recommended use. When you have purchased a water craft suitable for your chosen conditions, we can fit out both you and the boat.
To ensure your boating is a lot of fun for a long time, the staff at Outdoors and Beyond take water safety very seriously. Therefore we can offer you our expert advice and help you select the correct personal floatation devices (PFD) lifejackets that are lightweight and comfortable. If you want to get really serious about your fun we have a wide range of navigational, safety and specific clothing to take you on the adventures of a lifetime. But first you must choose your craft.
Canoes
These boats are small, light, and easy to transport. The paddler sits in the hull of the canoe and paddles with a single bladed paddle.While canoes are usually open at the top, slalom canoes are closed like kayaks.
Kayaks
Kayaks come in two main styles;
Sit on top and sit in, the paddler uses a double bladed paddle. Most recreational kayaks are between 3 to 5 metres long.
Inflatable boats or rafts
Unlike kayaks and canoes, inflatable boats or rafts do not have a hull and float paddlers on top of the water using their buoyancy. Rafts are mainly used for navigating white water rapids. Most rafts are paddled with a single bladed paddle.
Take your pick, and if it goes on or in a kayak, canoe or inflatable boat our staff at Outdoors & Beyond know what it is and how to use it.
